Respect Sakura

So I’m a lazy prick. I registered the domain respectsakura.org a while back, got myself some hosting, and promptly threw WordPress 2.0.2 and the K2 theme on, and started using the site for image dump purposes.

I suck at web design. Actually, that’s not entirely true. If I put my mind to it, I can come up with something pretty decent as long as I don’t have to worry about the graphics side of things. The real problem is I *HATE* web design. We’re talking burning fury of a thousand suns hate, here. I have real heavy duty issues on working with HTML and CSS code.

So this is where you come in. I need someone to fix my horrible, horrible mistake and make respectsakura.org something wonderful. Respect Sakura is basically just a shittty blogsite about animu and computers, right now. I don’t know what else I’ll do with it, but the blog portion will most likely stick around.

I need someone to bake me a better K2 theme, something that’s more fitting with what the site is about. I’d like light colours, not some glaring black myspace abomination about people who listen to alternative music and shoot people in gar bays, gay bars, gay bars.

So.. the rules are:

1. Don’t send me to jail.
   No explicit content, please. Suggestive is fine, as is tasteful nudity provided all the naughty bits are covered. Treat it like something you’d post in Fan Service, essentially.

2. No watermelons.
   I’d prefer light colours for the site. No black backgrounds. I’d rather not have girly pink colours, unless it makes the site look awesome.

3. It must feature a Sakura.
   This doesn’t necessarily mean Sakura from CCS fame. It could be Sakura from Fate/Stay Night, or whatever. Just not the one from Naruto, please.

4. It must be a valid K2 theme.
   K2 is an addon for WordPress that allows you to do funky things that are mostly background related. One of the good things is it simplifies theme creation for WordPress. Essentially, all I need is a CSS file and a title image that’s 797 pixels wide, and whatever down. I’ll be providing files that you’ll need to work on.

So.. that’s the rules, what do you get out of it?

  I have POP3, SMTP and webmail access for this. I don’t really have a strict storage limit, but I do only have ~1GB of space for everything, so I’d prefer this not to be abused. I also don’t have SpamAssassin, so you’ll need to take care of that yourself.

• Writer access for respectsakura.org
  You can post shit on the front page, and become famous on the internet web 2.0 blogosphere (or not).

• I’ll owe you a favour
  ;-*

sample.css - The original sample.css starting point. Edit this to begin with.
vader.css - An example CSS theme.
vader/mustafar.jpg - The 797×224 title image for the vader.css example theme.
