Vanilla (http://getvanilla.com/) is one.. there's a guide on integrating it with Wordpress here: http://lussumo.com/docs/doku.php?id=vanilla:integration:wordpress though it seems like a bit of messing with source code, so it might be a nice idea to make a copy of your Wordpress directory and do it on that instead of trying to integrate it into the live copy. It's apparently a little more mature than bbPress too. I've got some experience with PHP, so if you need any help with that let me know.
